After completion of my hotel management at Wits hotel school in Johannesburg I worked in the industry. Years ago, an opportunity came up to become an Assessor and I accepted the offer to join the then South African Tourism Board. Loving my profession as an Accredited Assessor with the Tourism Grading Council of SA I find myself highly focused in ensuring that Quality Assurance under National Star Grading Scheme is maintained. It is a privilege to engage with the owners, managementand staff of star graded properties especially when they see the value being quality assured and how proud they are to show off their star rating. It is also very encouraging when getting feedback indicating that they received specialist, valuable and constructive assessment.
