Robert is a Hospitality and Tourism Consultant and an accredited Independent Tourism Grading Assessor with the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA). He is also a business Coaching and Mentoring Advisor, a Tourism Enterprise Program (TEP) Toolkit Facilitator as well as a Tourism and Hospitality Education and Training Authority (THETA) Assessor. He is a hotelier with vast management operational experience as a former hands-on hotel owner of mid-size (50 rooms) city and country hotels in Polokwane and Nelspruit (Mbombela) respectively. He studied for a BA in Hotel and Tourism Management in the United Kingdom (UK), as a scholarship recipient of the Albert Luthuli Trust Fund. He was the President of University of Leeds African Society, Chairman of the Polokwane Community Tourism Association and was a member of the Polokwane Chamber of Business EXCO, American Hotel & Motels Association (AH&MA) and the Ethics Institute of South Africa
